ISSA Board Notice

ISSA Board Resignations and Reorganization

(mw) Three long-standing members of the ISSA Board are stepping down from the ISSA Board.

We would like to thank them most sincerely for their many years of commitment to our competitive sport and their support with great events in their countries:

  • Ken Hansen – Norway/Sweden
  • Christian Labhart – Switzerland
  • Thomas Moritz Friess – Germany

Ken Hansen is bid farewell as a man of the first hour, promoter through many reports in the media and organizer of the competitions in Sweden. Christian Labhart accompanied us as a long-time top competitor, record holder and organizer of the Swiss competitions. Thomas Moritz Friess is taking a step back as an active competitor, event organizer with record participation and experienced technical advisor. His commitment to our sponsor L&B and his support in switching from barometric measurement to GPS measurement are legendary. He has made a name for himself as a “telephone terrorist” for the ISSA at various agencies, including the German Armed Forces (“Tornado tests”). However, Moritz will continue to support Speedskydiving in the FAI with his extensive knowledge.

„It is time to say thank you for what has been, so that what is to come can begin under a good star.“ Thank you for the good cooperation and your commitment. On behalf of the ISSA community, we wish you all the best for the future.

Sara Lundqvist from Sweden, Fabian Wernli from Switzerland and Marco Hepp from Germany have joined the ISSA Board. The remaining core members warmly welcome the new supporters.

  • Arnold Hohenegger (AUT)
  • Michael Lovemore (GBR)
  • Marco Wiederkehr (SUI) – Chairman
  • NEW:
  • Sara Lundqvist (SWE)
  • Fabian Wernli (SUI)
  • Marco Hepp (GER)
